At the start of 2006 NADIS undertook a joint initiative with BPEX to monitor levels of endemic disease in 40% of the English pig herd. Data recording started in March 2006 and the initiative is now well underway and providing vital data to the pig industry.

Health Bulletins are produced every month and are very widely distributed electronically, to all interested sections of the pig industry. The Health Bulletins are intended to improve animal welfare and farm profitability through better disease control and prevention.
